From musically diverse backgrounds and traditions, Roy, the traditional folk and shanty singer, and Bridget, the songwriter, came together as a duo in 1990 after a spell with the excellent five-piece band, Kitchen Sink. From then on, they concentrated on contemporary songs from the work of the best writers around - and of course original songs by Bridget, who is no mean songwriter.

With great respect for the tradition, their musical themes touch on life today. Their songs, poignant and positive, include those written by: Mary Chapin Carpenter, Matthews and While, Carruthers, Colclough, MacColl (Ewan and Kirsty) - with a smattering of traditional folk and gospel.
